30 for 30, Day 10: Allyson's Ear

Ahead of my 30th birthday on April 27, 1994, I set out to make 30 sculptural sketches within 30 days. This is day 10. This is my sister Allyson's ear. I felt that I needed to sculpt from reference to understand a bit better what an ear might look like realistically, so that the ears of my abstracted sculptures might capture more ear-iness. I asked Allyson to send me a picture of her ear.
