30 for 30, Day 17: The Clown

Ahead of my 30th birthday on April 27, 1994, I set out to make 30 sculptural sketches within 30 days. This is day 17.

For the first time, I decided I wanted to add a collar beneath these portraits. I intended to make these blossoming heads, with petals around their necks. This one makes me feel more like a jester.
